Top 50 films in Australia of all time, ranked by total reported gross Australian box office as at February 2010; Australian films listed in bold

Avatar is the highest-grossing film of all time in Australia, with box office earnings of $88,856,853 as of 1 February 2010. By 7 March 2010, its earnings had risen to $108,621,853, making it the first film released in Australia to earn over $100 million.

In addition to Avatar, five new titles entered the all-time top 50 in 2009: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (10), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (11) The Twilight Saga: New Moon (13), Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (40) and Up (44).

There are five Australian films in the list: Crocodile Dundee (5), Australia (15), Babe (18), Happy Feet (33) and Moulin Rouge (47).
