Background

FILMART, Hong Kong Film and TV Market, is held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and runs for three busy days.

More than 1,000 trade buyers from over 40 countries and regions meet at FILMART annually to develop partnerships, conduct business deals and discuss latest market trends.

An expanded portfolio of film genres (commercial, arthouse and indies) will be featured alongside television, digital entertainment and music. A wide array of films will be screened, including special screenings of selections from the Hong Kong International Film Festival. FILMART has evolved from a market on film/television programs to a comprehensive, one-stop marketplace for the entertainment industry, from pre-production to production and post-production services and hardware.

The Hong Kong–Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF)

Organised by the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society and co-organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Hong Kong, Kowloon & New Territories Motion Picture Industry Association (MPIA), HAF is a film co-production market that facilitates co-production ventures of the latest film projects from some of the most exciting Asian filmmakers. A three-day event, HAF provides unique opportunities for filmmakers to discuss their projects with top film financiers, producers, bankers, distributors, buyers and other film professionals through private meetings, networking events and screenings.

A core event of the Entertainment Expo Hong Kong, the HAF is Asia's premier project market designed to connect Asian filmmakers with upcoming film projects with internationally prominent film financiers, producers, bankers, distributors, buyers and funders for co-production ventures. The HAF is the ideal venue for discovering and investing in emerging Asian talent, and for first-look opportunities of their latest projects.
