Source: Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), Arts and Culture in Australia (4172.0); International Trade database, includes some AFC estimates. Cultural Royalties data revised by the ABS December 2006; 2000/01 export figures as reported by the ABS at June 2006.

Notes:
Rounding may cause discrepancies between the sums of the component items and totals.
1. Classification is based on type of market rather than type of product: for example, royalties for films shown on TV are classified as ‘TV programs’ not ‘Cinema films’. The figure for TV programs in 2000/01 is particularly high due to the audiovisual royalties earned by SOCOG (the Sydney Organising Committee of the Olympic Games).
2. Figures for video tape royalties may include a relatively small amount of multimedia royalties, as separate figures are not always available for these media from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
(a) included in recorded media for sound.
