Employment in the film and video production and post-production services industry, per quarter, 2006/07

Next update to be advised

Employment figures fluctuate depending on the productions underway at the time as companies tend to employ more people while they are actively engaged in production, returning to a smaller ‘core’ staff once it is completed. In 2006/07, the Australian Bureau of Statistics collected quarterly employment data for the first time in its Service Industry Survey of the film and video production and post-production services industry. The figures indicate a lull at the end of the first quarter with a notable increase by the end of the financial year, particularly in the production sector when compared to post-production (PDV).
