Data on rental video titles hired is currently unavailable. From 1998 to 2001, annual video hire lists were sourced from Video Trader based on the number of weeks a title was in the top 50. With Video Trader ceasing publication, the 2002–2005 lists were based on top-renting titles in Blockbuster stores. As a result of internal restructuring, Blockbuster is unable to provide ongoing data. The Australian Visual Software Distributors Association (now known as the Australian Home Entertainment Distributors Association) provided top-grossing titles lists from 2002 on wholesale sales value (titles shipped).
