Travel Assistance: Rotterdam Lab 2012

Screen Australia, in partnership with the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), is offering travel assistance for three producers to attend the Rotterdam Lab, organised as part of CineMart at IFFR.

The Rotterdam Lab is for a select group of up to 50 emerging producers from various countries. Group sessions are held each day with key members of the industry giving participants the chance to learn about international feature film sales, financing, distribution, international film markets and pitching forums/competitions. There are also opportunities to experience the CineMart Co-Production market and the Rotterdam International Film Festival plus organised networking and social functions.

Each Rotterdam Lab travel assistance grant is A$3,000, plus five nights' accommodation provided by CineMart.

Assessment criteria

Your application will be assessed on:

  • Your screen producing experience and your relevant and recent credits. It is expected that you will have a producer credit on either a short, feature film or documentary that has performed well at key international film festivals.

  • The strength of your argument for attending including desired outcomes and a demonstrated understanding of the benefits from attending.

  • Whether your feature film in development matches the CineMart brief and is the type of project they might consider for future selection. (Please note: projects submitted must be in development, not completed or in production. Consideration for Rotterdam Lab is not a guarantee for selection into CineMart.)

Where can I access more resources about IFFR and CineMart?
