Proportion of mini-series in various budget ranges (2009 dollars)

2000/01–2008/09 : Mini-series shot July 2000 to June 2009

Fifteen of the 33 local mini-series made between 2000/01 and 2008/09 were in the
$6–10 million budget range (in 2009 dollars), with one in the $1–3 million range, nine in the
$3–6 million range, seven in the $10–20 million range, and one over $20 million. Of the three
co-productions made during this period, two were in the $6–10 million range and one was in the $10–20 million range. Five of the nine foreign mini-series titles had budgets over $20 million, one had a budget of $6–10 million, and three had budgets of less than $1 million.

1995/96–1999/00 : Mini-series shot July 1995 to June 2000

In the five years to 1999/00, most of the foreign mini-series shot here had budgets over $20 million (in 2009 dollars). There were no Australian productions in this range; all 13 titles cost $3–20 million. All five co-productions had budgets of $6 million or more.
