Update - MAP MY SUMMER DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 8 APRIL AND TIME LIMIT INCREASED TO 5 MINUTES

Tuesday 29 March 2011

We have some exciting updates about our Map My Summer project.

The deadline for submissions to the Map My Summer
project has been extended until midnight on Friday 8 April 2011 and the 3-minute time limit has been increased to 5 minutes.

This means that:

  • videos that are between 3 and 5 minutes in length that have already been submitted will now automatically progress to moderation and if uploaded onto the map, can be considered for inclusion in the final film;

  • eligible YouTube users with footage of summer that is no longer than 5 minutes and which was filmed between 1 December 2010 and 31 March 2011 now have until 8 April 2011 to submit a video using this footage; and

  • eligible YouTube users who don't have any footage still have time to go out and create some footage, though please note that all filming must take place by 31 March 2011.
Anyone interested in participating should read the full Terms and Conditions at http://www.screenaustralia.gov.au/mapmysummer/legals.aspx and don't forget that all videos must be submitted by 8 April 2011.
