AIDC 2010 MARKETPLACE – MEETMARKET SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN
1 - 30 November
The Australian International Documentary Conference is calling for submissions to MeetMarket 2010. MeetMarket brings together selected documentary filmmakers’ most original project ideas with targeted national and international audiences. in advance of attending AIDC 2010 executive producers, broadcasters and distributors view two-minute pitch teasers of up to 25 selected documentary projects online. After viewing, the executives choose which projects they wish to discuss further in one-on-one meetings with the documentary producers scheduled during the conference.
MeetMarket provides the opportunity for creative ideas to be fast-tracked within a supportive and structured setting.  Projects entered may be at any stage of development, production or post-production.
MeetMarket submissions are now open and close on 30 November 2009.

Canberra International Film Festival
28 October - 8 November
A 12-day celebration of film showcasing an exceptional selection of feature films and documentaries from around the world plus the best Australian new releases and retrospectives. The Festival also offers additional events including Q&As, panel discussions and workshops hosted by talented filmmakers passionate about their craft and willing to share their knowledge.

Screen Producers Association Australia Conference

Sydney Travelling Film Festival
Touring through Cairns, Townsville and Bowraville in November
Australia’s longest running travelling film festival, the Sydney Travelling Film Festival (TFF) is a showcase of Australian and international features, documentaries and short films screening in areas which have limited theatrical screening opportunities. The TFF currently tours to 15 locations annually, screening in the Northern Territory, Queensland and New South Wales.

In the Bin Tour
2009
In The Bin has now toured to over 60 communities nation wide taking in places the likes of Cooktown and Coober Pedy, no place is too big or too small just ask Andamooka. The festival has created an Education Program to work alongside the touring festival where students create, shoot and edit their own short film within a three day period.
