Christopher Stollery announced as first TV director’s attachment on Playmaker Media’s House Husbands

The Australian Directors Guild (ADG), Screen Australia and Playmaker Media today announced director Christopher Stollery as the first director’s attachment for 2015. Christopher will be attached to Grant Brown on Playmaker TV series House Husbands series 4, which will begin production in Melbourne in February. As part of the Director’s Attachment Scheme this arrangement also marks the first TV drama attachment. The industry incentive program is funded by Screen Australia and managed by the ADG for emerging directors to develop their craft.

Life world premiere at Berlin International Film Festival

Anton Corbijn’s Life will have its world premiere in Berlinale Special Gala presentation at the Berlin International Film Festival next month. Life, a co-production between Australia, Germany and Canada, was written by Luke Davies (Candy, Reclaim) and produced by The King’s Speech producers Iain Canning and Emile Sherman with The Whistleblower’s producers Christina Piovesan, Benito Mueller and Wolfgang Mueller. A photographic assignment for Life magazine takes Dennis Stock (Robert Pattinson) on a tour across the US following James Dean (Dane DeHaan), capturing iconic images of the star and revealing a side to the actor only a few knew.
