Presented by the British Film Institute, this long-running festival with a 45-year history, screens over 300 films in 10 sections. After the 16-day event in London, the festival then tours to seven cities across the United Kingdom.

“It’s four days with the world’s leading digital pioneers, international financiers distributors, promoters and creators, coming together for mentoring sessions, keynotes, presentations, case studies, roundtable discussions and workshops.“

“It has become the international event that fully supports cross-media-native projects, with a film-slant. The talks provide good information, but I think that the workshop day provides even more value for people wanting to explore the specifics of a certain area of expertise, whether it be marketing, producing, copyright or distribution. They selected people who really know what ‘cutting edge’ is and what is needed to survive in this industry, unlike many events that are focused on surviving within existing structures.”

“I recommend people email those who are speaking and judging at the event at least by the week before to make appointments. Book into the workshop day as this enables much discussion and meeting opportunities with a wide range of VIPs and key attendees. If you can, take DVDs or something to give people.”
