Margaret Mead Film and Video Festival
United States
Documentary
This festival has a social conscience and is more interested in screening works where the subjects speak for themselves rather than films with heavy voice-overs.
Unlike many festivals today, which are driven by commercial interests and marketing and distribution concerns, the Mead Festival exists to create a dialogue between films, filmmakers and the general public. It is about sharing ideas and exploring cultural, social and political cinema.
SCREEN AUSTRALIA HAS NOT TRACKED SCREENINGS AND AWARDS AT THIS FESTIVAL SINCE 2010.
