The Pusan Festival began in 1996 with the goal of becoming Asia’s most dynamic film event. Since that time, along with the growing strength of Korean Cinema in the late 90s, Pusan has now established itself as a must-attend event. It also features the Asian Film Market (AFM) co-production event. Pusan looks for fairly new artistic works of young and talented directors as well as established directors.
