The Stockholm International Film Festival is one of the leading competitive festivals in Northern Europe. The purpose of the festival has been to launch young filmmakers, with the competitive sections of the festival limited to first, second and third time filmmakers, and to broaden the forum for innovative quality films in Scandinavia.
