The second and final instalment of Seven’s mini-series Catching Milat had the best overnight viewer numbers for TV drama in 2015.

Part two of the mini-series averaged 2.2 million (metro and regional) viewers* on Sunday night. This is the highest overnight figure to date for any drama that’s aired in 2015.

Part one averaged more than 2.1 million (metro and regional) viewers* when it went to air on Sunday 17 May.

The Screen Australia-supported mini-series was based on the police investigation that ultimately led to Ivan Milat’s arrest in 1994.

The mini-series is available on Plus7 now.
