Maya the Bee continues its world domination

This week London-based Primal Screen acquired the rights for Maya the Bee Movie in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.

Munich-based Sales 100 managed the sales of the Australian-German co-production and has seen the 3D, animated feature sell in more than 170 territories globally, including North America.

The screen adaptation of Waldemar Bonsels’ children’s book features the vocal talents of Coco Jack Gillies, Jacki Weaver, Miriam Margoyles, Richard Roxburgh, Noah Taylor, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Justine Clarke.

Flying Bark Productions made the film with director Alexs Stadermann and production company Buzz Studios with the support of Screen Australia.
