Flame of the West
In her final year of secondary school, Daniella is a prodigiously gifted writer trapped in the suffocating suburbs of western Sydney. Stifled in a society (and school clique) with impenetrably dense conventions and a culture of low expectation, Daniella's understanding of her ability gradually dawns. When a chance appears to escape the mundanity of her life, Daniella's opportunity is undermined. She is forced to look into a future where she will have to break away or forever see her dreams extinguished.
