ALL ABOUT OLIVE is a film about very old age and its possibilities. It follows Olive Riley, 105-years-old, as she goes back to relive her childhood in Broken Hill where she was born in 1899.
For over 200 years, there have been doubts as to whether Shakespeare actually wrote the work attributed to him. One of the rival Elizabethan playwrights regarded as best qualified to be the true author has never been seriously considered because he died in a knife fight at the age of 29. This is Christopher Marlowe. But what if he did not die? What if he escaped to live in exile in Italy and continued his work as a writer and a spy? It is a possibility too upsetting for many Shakespeare scholars to consider.
