Cathryn Strickland

Australian Writers’ Guild Award winner and nominee, Cathryn has worked for over twenty years in television as a researcher, script editor and writer. Her most recent writing credits include Wakefield (ABC/BBC), Love Child (Network Nine) and A Place to Call Home (Foxtel). In 2010 The Australian National Academy of Music performed “The Musical Child” libretto by Cathryn Strickland, music by the Australian composer, Andrew Ford. “The Musical Child” won the 2012 AWGIE for Music Theatre. Cathryn is currently co-writing a film adaptation and has a drama series in development.
