Briony Kidd is a writer, director and producer with a particular interest in dark genre, melodrama and black comedy storytelling. She lives in Tasmania and is a graduate of VCA Film School. Her best known short is Gothic melodrama ‘The Room at the Top of the Stairs’. More recently she was associate producer of the all-women horror anthology ‘Dark Whispers - Volume 1’, created by Megan Riakos, which also features a segmented she directed. Briony also writes and directs theatre and is a film programmer and festival director and script consultant specialising in genre.
