THE WAY is a 3D computer animation that adapts ancient Chinese art principles to present a new media art form. Traditional brushstroke methods are simplified and codified using modern computer imagery techniques to convey the profundity of the eastern aesthetic principle through its adaptation into a modern, computerised art form. This work represents a marriage between ancient Chinese philosophy and western chaos theory, providing a medium in which the dynamic and chaotic side of Nature is captured visually and artistically.
