Nicole is at that age when anything a parent does is embarrassing, and it doesn't help that they actually ARE embarrassing. Mum has just caused total disaster by interrupting the school day. Dad is insisting on a fishing trip, despite the fact that Nicole is a vegetarian. Her sister Samantha is offering fashion advice. HARD RUBBISH is about a girl's desire to be rid of her embarrassing family and she starts hatching a scheme to put them out with the hard rubbish.
Returning home through the scrub after a night out two teenage girls seek respite from the stifling heat. Fuelled by cheap alcohol and teenage hormones they make their way to an isolated fire-water tank, lured by the promise of cool water. Once inside the tank the intimate mood takes a dangerous turn when they discover they are trapped with no way out.
