Mirror Mirror 1

So far in her short life 13-year-old Jo Tiegan thinks she has two problems: she's adopted and she just can't get on with her mother, the dynamic Catherine Guzzi who also happens to be the principal of the school Jo attends. But then one day, the mysterious Mr Alex Kingsley, antique dealer, gives Jo an old mirror and then her real problems begin. Jo finds that not only can she see someone else's face in the mirror - that of 13-year-old Louisa Iredale who lived in Jo's house with her family in 1919 - but Jo can travel through the glass of the mirror to the world, and time, on the other side.

But, of course, there is always a catch to time travel...

Slipping down the plughole starts the ride of a lifetime for John Stanley Staines and his sister Mary Jane. They travel a maze of drains all the way to a huge underground world full of fantastic creatures and fabulous places. Even though it lies right beneath us it's a world most people don't know about. It's a world only kids can get into.
