The Screen Guide

The film explains a common problem of menstruating women, endometriosis. Lack of knowledge of this condition has meant that it has frequently remained undiagnosed by doctors for long periods of time. Lack of treatment oftern results in acute chronic pain and infertility. Women sufferers, doctors and alternative health practitioners all contribute to a comprehensive discussion on what 'Endo' is: its symptoms, the available options for treatment and its psychological effects. The importance of understanding from friends and family and the positive role of support groups in providing information and reassurance are highlighted. This program dispels the myths about endometriosis and offers positive suggestions for coping effectively with this condition.
