The Screen Guide

Set in 1902, LUCKY COUNTRY is a thriller seen through the eyes of Tom, a 12-year-old boy. Tom's father has dragged him and his family to an isolated cabin at the edge of thick bush land with an evangelical dream of farming the land. When three ex-soldiers arrive at their impoverished farm with rumours of gold, the group begin to turn on each other, and the cabin becomes a psychological battleground in which Tom's loyalty to his father's idealism is put to the ultimate test.
