The Screen Guide

ORDINARY PEOPLE follows grassroots battler Colene Hughes through two years and two election campaigns as a One Nation Party candidate in Australia's deep North. Initially, for Colene and her supporters, One Nation seems to offer true democracy, a way of knocking the country back into shape and giving people like them some power. However over time, their belief in the moral rightness of One Nation collides with the realities of extreme-right politics and Colene has to face a difficult decision.
