The Screen Guide

Laurie, an actress, cannot cope with the closure of her theatre and her failed relationship. Distressed, she leaves the city at night in the company of Caleopy, a 10-year-old girl. She had been put in charge of her for two weeks and is now to drop the child at her mother's country house. Caleopy's care, courage and need for affection finally rekindles Laurie's dying spirit. Together they reaffirm the magical possibility of life. In pursuit of the transcendent possibilities art affords, they are ready to journey on.
