While MAD AS HELL: THE PETER FINCH STORY maps the career of Peter Finch, and in doing so, also explores the complex relationship between Britain and her Australian colony during the 1940s and 1950s. Peter Finch is the only actor ever to have received an Academy Award for Best Actor posthumously, for his performance in Network (1976). Finch's life and career is testament to his rebelliousness and enduring interest in black culture.
