POLSKA tells Poland's story through the ordinary people in the street — it is a story of hardship and turmoil, of the dramatic history of Poland through German occupation, Communism and Socialism, to the Solidarity government of today led by Lech Walesa. Beata Ligman is a 28-year-old journalist born in the shipyard city of Gdansk. She guides us through a beautiful Poland which is ripe for Western carpetbaggers to move on its bankrupt industries.
