Comments Invited

Screen Australia invites feedback on its draft blueprint for funding ‘small screen’ content, released on 19 November 2010.

Comments can be made through this site until 31 January 2011. Any submissions received separately will also be made available online, and in the interests of facilitating discussion, may be quoted here by Screen Australia where relevant. The discussion will be extracted and analysed to help us refine the blueprint and develop detailed guidelines for new programs.

We anticipate releasing draft guidelines for feedback in March 2011, and final guidelines in May.

You can download the full document, comprising Part A (the draft blueprint itself) and Part B (background research and appendices). You can also read the blueprint (Part A) here, and contribute your comments on the proposals.

The draft blueprint is presented online in five sections:

Each section includes particular questions on which we are seeking your input.

Individual submissions sent separately can be read on the Screen Australia website.

Comment protocols

In the interests of fruitful and informed discussion, Screen Australia encourages contributors to use their name (at least their first name) and include their role in the industry. We require an email address from contributors so we can contact them if necessary, but Screen Australia will not publish these email addresses or other contact details as part of comments.

Comments will be monitored, and Screen Australia reserves the right to remove comments which Screen Australia considers to be off-topic, or abusive, defamatory, discriminatory or otherwise unlawful. Messages that are factually wrong and misleading may also be deleted.

Where relevant, Screen Australia may also contribute comments extracted from submissions it receives directly.
