Number of films, Australian free-to-air television, 1990–2014

Between 1990 and 2005 most short dramas were screened on the SBS program Eat Carpet. The SBS program SOS (Shorts on Screen) continues to provide a showcase for Australian and international shorts, and the network screened 16 of the 27 Australian shorts broadcast on free-to-air television in 2014.
