Australian short films released on television

Number of films, Australian free-to-air television, 1990–2015

Next update April 2017

Between 1990 and 2005 most short dramas were screened on the SBS program Eat Carpet. While in the past the SBS program SOS (Shorts on Screen) has provided a showcase for Australian and International shorts, accounting for more than half of all the screenings in 2014, this program did not continue screening in 2015 thus accounting for the fall in first release shorts in 2015.
