Annecy International Animation Film Festival

Genre: Animation

The Annecy International Animated Film Festival, established in 1960, is a major international animation event. The festival attracted over 13,200 accredited badgeholders in 2022, screening 430 films from 106 countries, 314 journalists and 115,000 cinema admissions. It is also trade-focused and incorporates the MIFA animation market to showcase co-producing, selling, financing and distributing animation content.

Tips for Attendees

‘Annecy has a strong business element and there seemed to be a lot of sales agents and distributors looking for films’

‘I didn’t take posters or flyers to Annecy, which was a mistake as everone has them. If I go again I will make time and find money, especially for posters.’

‘Screening posters became fought-over collector’s items.’
