Ottawa International Animation Festival

Started in 1976 as a gathering place for North American animation professionals and enthusiasts, the OIAF has become the largest animation festival in the region. It has feature film and short film competitions, and awards a range of other prizes. It has audiences of approximately 30,000. It offers Grand Prizes for Feature Animation and Short Animation, Craft Awards for Script, Design, Animated Technique and Sound, a Public Prize and prizes for Canadian animation. The program features new works from Canada and around the world, plus special programs exploring animation styles and techniques.
