Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival


Genre: Horror

Sitges is a specialist film festival for horror and fantastic film. Started in 1968 it has become a highly respected festival and showcase for these specialist films. It has significant representation from dedicated fans of fantastic plus the industry and the media.

 

It screens about 186 films from around the world to more than 110,000 movie-goers. It has also has a significant industry contingent of around 2,000 accredited professionals each year. Its short film competitions in fiction and animation are Academy Accredited.

 

Sitges has an official competitive section, plus other sections for fantasy like thrillers, for fantasy and for horror.

 

Tips for Attendees

‘The Sitges publicity office was extremely helpful with arranging scheduled interviews and photo shoots, especially on the night of the premiere.’
