Screen Australia is supporting a delegation of Australian producers to travel to India to encourage creative connections, foster meaningful relationships, and develop B2B partnerships that will advance narrative official co-productions to be made under the Official Australia-India Co-production Treaty.
This opportunity is focused on narrative feature films and television series. Producers with a successful track record in television or direct-to-audience releases are eligible to apply, provided their current slate includes feature films and/or television series with genuine creative and business potential for co-production with Indian partners.
The funding is intended to support Australian producers who have demonstrated experience with official co-productions, or who have delivered projects of comparable scale and ambition. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a strong track record of success, clear market traction, established business relationships, and knowledge of the Indian screen sector evidenced through their recent credits, company activity and current development slate.
The objective of this initiative is to enable experienced Australian producers to pursue new co-development and co-production opportunities under the Australia-India Co-production Treaty, while strengthening long-term partnerships between the Australian and Indian screen industries.
