Since the Australia/Canada co-production treaty was signed in 1990, Canada has become Australia’s most active partner country, with a total of 56 official co-productions to date.
Four projects (three features and one TV drama) were made in the first year of the agreement and by 1997 the partnership was yielding consistent output, peaking in 2007 with seven projects.
