This is serious. To improve the quality of projects considered for development by Screen Australia, every executive in a decision making capacity should be breathalyzed at 2.00pm daily. Those not fit to drive a car should not be allowed to cast judgement that afternoon. Three strikes and you're out.

My computer is too old and I'm having trouble accessing the draft with the information about Screen Australia's future programs. In any case, I very much wanted to support the strand X developmental grand given to those filmmakers who would like the opportunity to experiment and push the boundaries in their work. I had the good fortune to be one of these filmmakers when I made my film Kissing Paris. I feel very strongly that this program should continue to give other film makers the same privilege as I have had.

It is my belief that without experimentation and risk taking all art forms are dead as they become stale. I do hope that Screen Australia continues to be able to provide that immensely valuable and essential to the Australian Film Industry program.

In thanks,
Anna Kannava
