The Producer Offset and Co-Production assessment process changes

These changes will make it easier for you to prepare your applications, and make our applications assessment process faster.

The Producer Offset and Co-Production Unit (POCU) is making a number of changes to its assessment processes to make it more efficient which are:

  • We released updated Producer Offset guidelines, aimed at explaining what we do and why. You can download them here. We have already received useful feedback on a couple of aspects of them and we will very soon make some tweaks to better express a couple of issues.
  • We are starting to prepare a series of short videos for release over the next few months in order to provide a bit more guidance to applicants about some of the key issues we see in applications.
  • From 1 January 2016, Provisional Certificate applications will be entirely paperless. They will need to be lodged electronically through our secure FTP site. Ahead of this, we have released updated Provisional Certificate forms – see here.
  • Through 2016, we will progressively move all our other applications online – starting with Final Certificate Offset applications, and then the Co-production forms.
  • The other new initiative is this POCU update - it will be a semi-regular part of the Screen Australia newsletter, so you have a better idea of what’s going on in the POCU.

If you have any questions, email POCU or phone the team on + 61 2 8113 1042.
