Applications open for new fund: International Finance

Screen Australia today launches a new fund to support Australian projects with a very high level of global commercial appeal to leverage international partnerships and finance.

The International Finance fund will be open to long form drama and documentary projects on any platform which are market ready, have undergone a successful development process and can demonstrate development funding from an arm’s length commercial partner.

Screen Australia’s Head of Development Nerida Moore said, “This fund has been created to help Australian projects unlock international finance opportunities and will allow creative teams to connect with industry mentors and consultants to elevate their pitching, further develop their marketing and business plans, and ensure they have the tools they need to make the most of the current and ever-changing international marketplace.”

Funding of $3,000-$15,000 will be available to successful applicants and can cover the following:

  • Assistance from appropriate and experienced industry mentors or consultants to help with strategic planning, advice around financing and deals, current market trends, as well as suggesting key meeting targets and the best way to approach them.
  • Pitching consultation and work-shopping from appropriate and experienced industry mentors or consultants.
  • The creation of marketing and pitching tools.
