Indigenous Screen Composer survey reminder

This is a reminder to producers, directors and production companies that have received a link to the Indigenous Screen Composer survey, to please complete by Monday 8 March 2021.

Based on figures from APRA's screen composer national database, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander screen composers are extremely underrepresented, accounting for less than .1% of all screen composers nationally. 

Screen Australia have undertaken this survey to:

  • Gain a genuine understanding of why filmmakers and production companies are not employing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander screen composers;
  • Gauge past experiences of filmmakers and production companies collaborating with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander composers, song writers and musicians.

It takes less than five minutes to complete and we appreciate and value the industry’s input.
