Natalie Buck Appointed Head of Legal Services and Producer Offset and Co-Production

Screen Australia has today announced the appointment of Natalie Buck as Head of Legal Services and Producer Offset and Co-Production, commencing Monday 2 August 2021.

Natalie comes to the role with a broad range of skills and experience across government, media and law. Beginning her career in media in Australia as a producer for Channel Seven and 2GB, she also worked as a copywriter, editor and researcher before moving in to law. At Australian commercial law firm, Banki Haddock Fiora, Natalie specialised in media law, as well as general commercial advice, including defamation, intellectual property, advertising, promotions and privacy. Joining global law firm, Kennedys, as Senior Associate, she acted for a broad range of high-profile individuals, publishers, broadcasters, government and sporting organisations.

From 2016 – 2019, Natalie worked at CNBC International in Singapore, becoming Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs, where she was responsible for all legal matters and contracts in the Asia Pacific region for the CNBC International business, part of NBCUniversal.

Returning to Australia, Natalie most recently held the role of General Counsel and Head of Policy for Screenrights, providing legal advice to the Chief Executive and all business divisions within the organisation, with an emphasis on copyright and intellectual property, new technology, communications law, administrative law, procurement, licensing and policy matters.
