Vincent Sheehan selected for 2010 ACE international training program

Producer Vincent Sheehan of Porchlight Films has been selected for the ACE International Program (ACE IPA) in France and Switzerland.

He will participate in an eight-day residential workshop for independent film producers, designed to encourage co-productions between Europe and the rest of the world and to build an international network of producers.

During the workshop Vincent (pictured) will focus on his feature project Valve, to be directed by Andrew Lancaster and written by Liz Doran.

ACE IPA takes place from 14 to 21 March 2010 in both Paris and Zurich. By participating, Vincent automatically joins the existing ACE Network of more than 150 producers from 30 countries.

Screen Australia, in partnership with the Ateliers du Cinéma Européen (ACE), has provided a special bursary of €5,800 to enable Vincent Sheehan to participate.

Seven other producers from six non-EU countries (Argentina, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Canada, Israel, New Zealand and Turkey) have also been selected.

Vincent Sheehan is a founding partner (with Liz Watts and Anita Sheehan) of Porchlight Films – an independent production company based in Sydney.

Vincent’s producer credits include the feature films Mullet (2001), Little Fish (2005) and Prime Mover (2009). He was executive producer on Porchlight’s most recent feature Animal Kingdom, produced by Liz Watts, which had its world premiere at Sundance 2010 where it is currently receiving critical accolades.
