Jane Schoettle, International Selector for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), will be visiting Australia in March as a guest of Screen Australia. Jane will be viewing new feature films for potential pre-selection for this year’s festival.

In 2009, TIFF invited a record 17 Australian films to screen at the festival. Among them Mao’s Last Dancer was first runner-up in Toronto’s Cadillac People’s Choice Award as voted by festival audiences. The Cadillac People’s Choice Award – Midnight Madness was won by The Loved Ones. Runner-up was another Australian film, Daybreakers.

If you have a new feature film that you would like Jane to view please firstly check general eligibility criteria by visiting the Toronto International Film Festival profile on the Screen Australia website.

The festival is yet to publish its 2010 eligibility rules therefore the information on the Screen Australia website should be used as a guide only.

Please email Dale Fairbairn or call on 02 8113 5980 or toll free 1800 213 099 for details of where to submit your film.
