International Financing Forum (IFF) call for applications

The Ontario Media Development Corporation, in partnership with Toronto International Film Festival, are running the International Financing Forum (IFF), 11-13 September 2010.

Launched in 2006, the IFF is a two-day co-financing market, developed to provide Canadian and international feature film producers with the opportunity to establish relationships with potential financing and co-production partners, sales agents, distributors and executive producers.

Each day will be made up of one-on-one meetings with producer delegates and industry guests, networking events and information sessions.

IFF 2009’s international guests included: Apparition (US), Aramid Capital (UK), Backup Films (France), BBC Films (UK), Big Beach (US), Cinetic Media (US), E1 (Canada), Echo Lake (US), Festival Darlings (Denmark), Film4 (UK), Filmax International (Spain), Fortissimo Films (The Netherlands/Hong Kong), ICM (US), IFC Entertainment (US), Kinowelt International (Germany), K5 (Germany), Magnolia Pictures (US), The Match Factory (Germany), Memento Films International (France), Overture Films (US), Participant Media (US), Pathé Entertainment (UK), Quickfire (UK), This is That (US), United Talent Agency (US), Voltage Pictures (US), William Morris Endeavor (US).

To be eligible to apply, applicants must have a minimum of one full producer credit on a theatrically released feature, and one or two market-oriented co-productions in development that require international financing partners. Producers with executive producer, co-producer or associate producer credits only are not eligible.

The deadline for applications is 23 July 2010.

The IFF will not cover any travel or accommodation costs. Successful applicants may be eligible to apply for a Screen Australia travel grant if they meet Screen Australia’s eligibility criteria.
