Three Australian features head to No Borders, New York

Three new Australian feature film projects will be pitched by their producers at the prestigious No Borders International Co-Production Market during next week's Independent Film Week in New York.

The selected projects are Remarkable Creatures from producer Heather Ogilvie and writer Jan Sardi; Confessions of a Super Man from producer Marian Macgowan and writer/director Angela How; and The Warmth from producer Philippa Campey and writer/director Rhys Graham.

This is the second year of Screen Australia’s association with No Borders. A total of 43 international feature film projects have been selected by Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) to participate. Producers and directors will be provided with professional pitching assistance before taking part in one-to-one meetings with film financiers, distributors, sales agents and festival programmers.

A recent No Borders alumni is Benh Zeitlin's Beasts of the Southern Wild, the 2012 Cannes Un Certain Regard winner. Projects selected this year are from the US, Europe, Canada, Colombia, Dubai, Hong Kong, India, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey, as well as Australia.

The 34th edition of Independent Film Week and No Borders will take place 16–20 September 2012.
