Financial assistance for 2013 ACE international training program

Screen Australia, in partnership with the Ateliers du Cinéma Européen (ACE), will offer a special bursary for one selected Australian producer to attend the 2013 ACE Mundus.

ACE Mundus is an eight-day residential workshop for independent feature producers designed to favour co-productions between Europe and the rest of the world and to gradually build an international network of independent film producers.

Eight non-EU producers will be selected to participate in the ACE workshop, which will take place from 1 to 8 April 2013 in Paris, France (three days), and Finland (five days).

Australian producers wishing to apply must:

  • be an experienced independent producer with a fiction feature film project currently in the early stages of development, suitable for a co-production (and/or international distribution deal) with an EU country
  • have produced, as main producer, at least one fiction feature film theatrically released in Australia.

Screen Australia will offer €5,800 to an Australian producer selected for the program, covering tuition fees, travel from Paris to Finland and full-board accommodation in Europe. ACE is offering a long-distance flight ticket to each selected participant.

More information about ACE and ACE Mundus can be found on their website.

The short description of the program including selection criteria and schedule and the application form are available to download from the Screen Australia website.

The deadline for applications is COB Wednesday 7 November 2012.
