Jessica Redenbach announced as Director's Attachment on Hyde & Seek

The Australian Directors Guild (ADG), Screen Australia and Matchbox Pictures announce director Jessica Redenbach as the director’s attachment on the Matchbox Pictures’ Production Hyde & Seek.

Jessica will be attached to award-winning TV and feature film director David Caesar who will be directing two episodes of the series. The industry incentive program is funded by Screen Australia and managed by the ADG for emerging directors to develop their craft.

Jessica Redenbach said, "I’m so grateful to the Australian Directors Guild, Screen Australia, Matchbox Pictures and of course to David Caesar for this exciting opportunity. The chance to work with a filmmaker of David’s calibre is just thrilling. I’m appreciative that such opportunities exist and offer my sincere thanks to everyone who makes the Directors Attachment Scheme possible."

Jessica is an award-winning emerging writer/director, AACTA-nominated producer and an accomplished long-form screenwriter (Spirited, Rush). Her most recent short film as writer/director, Tender, premiered in the International Competition at Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival and won the Australian Directors Guild Award for Best Short Film.

Hide & Seek centers around a routine murder investigation that leads to the uncovering of an international network of identity fraud. A specialist police unit is formed to track down the illegal entrants and thwart a terrorist plot against Australia. Production will take place in Sydney.

Producer Stephen Corvini said, “Matchbox Pictures are proud to have Jessica Redenbach a talented writer/director as an attachment on Hide & Seek where she will work with David Caesar. Matchbox thanks and acknowledges the importance of the ADG’s efforts to up-skill our next generation of directors."

This is the second of three TV drama Directors’ Attachments that the ADG has rolled out so far this year.

Previous TV drama attachments include Chris Stollery attached to Grant Brown on House Husbands Julietta Boscolo attached to Geoff Bennett on Playmaker’s Love Child and Nora Niasari attached to Emma Freeman on Matchbox’ Secret City.
