Inspired by Alexander Pearce, a 19th century convict nicknamed 'the Pieman' after he dined on fellow escapees in the Tasmanian wilderness. When a group of four set out to prove the Tasmanian Tiger still lives in the forests, they wander into the domain of the descendants of the Pieman, who retain their ancestor's taste for human flesh.
