Synopsis

'Dogs, dogs, it was the bloody neighbour's dog.' David Schlunke escaped to the bush because of the bloody neighbour's dog and found religion. 'My saints are artists, composers and writers.' So, how best to communicate the gospel – the gospel of the atheist sitting in the front pew of Nature's Cathedral. He paints. He paints bits of the Cathedral and even tries to show the whole bloody thing. He shows us on canvas and he tries words. 'Come on words, where are the bloody words.' Look at the pictures, listen to the words. 'Aren't words inadequate.'
