Blue Water Challenge

The Great Circle Yacht Race 80 is the latest addition to the world's great classics of blue water racing. The story of this unique race is told as a fleet of Australia's leading ocean racing yachts set sail. The course was to take them over 800 nautical miles of some of the most challenging stretches of water in the world, a clockwise circumnavigation of Australia's southermost island, Tasmania. Throughout the film the challenge of sailing the great Circle is highlighed by the personal involvement of the skippers and crews.
